The Technical Marketing Engineer will be a key player in the
transformation of the enterprise security market. It will be your
mission to successfully evangelize and position our cloud security
products and solutions for multiple audiences – customers, partners,
sales and systems engineering teams with a focus on competitive
positioning and differentiation. You will be hands-on in competitive
analysis and will also spend time engaging with key stakeholders in
product management, sales, and customers to understand and highlight our
unique value proposition for cloud security.
You must also be a self-starter, keen to learn and experiment with new
technologies, be able to work independently and as a team player. Be
passionate to drive cloud security growth by assisting Sales, Partners
and Systems Engineering teams in large and strategic deals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and demonstrate replicable proof of concepts that highlight
key value proposition of our cloud security products.
- Research, analyze and keep up to date tab on competitive landscape,
solution positioning and market strategies.
- Create compelling competitive collateral for varied audiences i.e.
Sales, Systems Engineering and Partners.
- Perform hands-on testing of product capabilities and compare with
competitor’s product offerings.
- Partner with Product Marketing, Product Management and Sales to
strengthen our leadership in cloud security
- Drive the success of customer engagements by assisting our field
personnel with competitive differentiation both on a tactical and
strategic level.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years + experience in technical marketing, sales
engineering with cloud security solutions.
- Strong background of working with public cloud delivery models such
as Software-, Platform- or Infrastructure-as-a-Service. This
includes CASB (Cloud Access Security Broker) and CWPP (Cloud
Workload Protection Platform) solutions
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge in configuring, operating and
managing AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platforms. Public
cloud certifications are a plus
- Technical understanding of networking concepts, proxies, data
leakage prevention, machine learning and basic encryption
- Knowledge or experience in securing enterprise SaaS
applications i.e. Office365, Box, Google etc.
- Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g. CIS, HIPAA, PCI, NIST-53,
ISO 27001) and their relevance in public cloud
- Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity concepts, specifically
knowing the security challenges and pain point of customers in
securing their public cloud workloads and SaaS applications.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proficient with DevOps, CI/CD and related concepts that are
important in public cloud security
- Experience and working knowledge with RESTful API’s for automation,
orchestration with public cloud platforms.
- Knowledge or experience with native security tools offered by public
cloud providers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- BS or equivalent experience preferred
