The Senior UX/UI Engineer will be responsible for look, feel, and
functionality of Palo Alto Networks’ award-winning Global Customer
Services experience online. Reporting to the Manager of Online Services,
you will partner with Services management, Marketing, and
cross-functional User Interface Design Teams to create a seamless
digital customer experience that echoes the marquis of our brand.
Responsibilities:
- Be a contributing member of the Online Customer Experience Strategy
Team
- Act as Technical UI Lead for digital customer initiatives
- Drive ideas from concept to production
- Comply with branding standards and guidelines, innovate new ideas
using the latest technologies
- Using industry best practices, create user interfaces that drive
user engagement
- Identify and provide recommendations and solutions to remedy
technical issues and obstacles
- Design and develop data-driven web services using APIs (REST
API, etc.)
- Develop concepts and manage front-end UI/UX designs including
creation of visual style guides
- Implement associated development tasks in web application programing
languages including HTML5, CSS3/SASS/SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery, React
JS, Angular JS, D3.js, JSON, AJAX, XML, etc.
- Ability to handle multiple projects, manage priorities and deadlines
Qualifications:
- 10+ years’ work experience as a Front-end Web Developer and/or
relatable experience building medium to large scale web applications
- Experience with AJAX, XML, JSON
- Experience with JS Libraries (React, jQuery, Dojo, LESS, D3)
- Experience with CSS Frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.)
- Demonstrated proficiency in web application programing languages
including HTML5, CSS3/SASS/SCSS, JavaScript, PHP, JSP, ASP.Net
- Experience in implementing Responsive / Adaptive Web Designs
- Experience developing SFDC platform, especially Service Cloud,
Community and Lightening
- Knowledge of cross-browser and cross-device compatibility standards
and behaviors
- Ability and drive to mentor team members pushing adoption of new web
technologies
- Keen eye for detail and experience collaborating with the UI/UX
Design teams company-wide to deliver first-class online customer
experience
- Experience in Agile Software Development along with strong
collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree
