Job Description

We are seeking a “Parent Support Specialist” whose responsibilities include working with schools, communicating with parents, and coordinating outreach to let people know about our classes. Compensation is $20 per hour. The ideal candidate is located in Gaithersburg, is involved in elementary and/or middle schools, has some technical background/ability, and has 10 hours per week available to work. Sales, technical, communications, and customer service skills are all required. The schedule is flexible, as most work can be done via phone and e-mail from your home.

Please consider:

• Can you attend weekly staff meetings in Gaithersburg Tuesdays or Wednesdays at 10 am?
• Do you live in or close to Gaithersburg? (otherwise it will waste too much time driving to your schools)
• Can you attend evening events a couple times per month (Back to school events, STEM nights, etc)?
• Are you available during the weekdays to drop off flyers at your schools and to coordinate In School Field Trips?
• Are you available from 4 to 6 pm weekdays once per month to observe classes at your schools?

If the answer to any of these questions is no, the you are probably not a good fit for this position!
