We are seeking a  Systems Administrator/AWS Cloud Engineer for our Glendale, CA office. (Due to the pandemic this will be a remote position until further notice) 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Proactively identify issues, bottlenecks, gaps, or other areas of concern or opportunity and work to either directly affect change, or advocate for that change by working with peers and leadership to build consensus and take action.
• Perform critical maintenance, deployment, and release support activities, including occasional off-hours support.
• Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly
• Deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant systems in AWS.
• Ensuring access controls and data integrity while using the AWS platform
• Implement/Manage AWS solutions using EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, WAF, EBS, IAM, SNS, SQS, KMS, Route 53, Application Load Balancers, Code Deploy, Cloud Watch, VPC, Security Groups, CloudFront, Cloud Trail, Auto Scaling Groups, etc.
• Help to Monitor datacenter health using preexisting management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers/workstations as needed
• Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including, laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments
• Install and configure software and hardware
• Troubleshoot issues and outages
• Interact with help desk to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed
• Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
• Maintain internal documentation and Helpdesk WIKI
• Passion for engineering excellence, curiosity and demonstrated ability of continuous learning.
• Enable faster and smarter business processes and implement analytics for meaningful insights
• Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems and firewall, including all backups and access control

ABOUT YOU:

• Experience with managing a SEIM
• 5+ years proven work experience in IT
• Security Certification a plus
• Quick Learner & Self-Starter
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience as a technical influencer for highly scalable distributed system designs
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
• Knowledge of Managing Door Access control systems
• Experience with AWS services a plus
• Experience in project management, application design and integration, and cloud computing a plus
