    Job Description

    SUMMARY:

    The Vendor Relations Analyst will independently gather data, create corporate level reporting, and perform analysis related to the current state of the business, ongoing improvement opportunities, and expanding knowledge of our supply chain and future impacts. The Vendor Relations Analyst will assist with documentation and corporate compliance reporting.  Vendor Compliance Manual updates and consumer product safety compliance.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and review analyses of vendor activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives
    • Fiscal reporting – Monthly, quarterly and annual reports
    • Payment terms documentation, reporting and forecasting
    • Corporate level reporting and analysis for inbound supply chain, Purchase Orders and inventory levels
    • Review Purchase Orders to ensure packing and dating is accurate
    • Develop and maintain vendor onboarding
    • Perform data management through a combination of data mining, data modeling, data analysis, cost/benefit analysis, process mapping, and/or problem analysis, while executing day to day processes related to area of responsibility
    • Evaluate and execute vendor agreements, including Vendor Compliance Agreements, Proposition 65 Agreements, Markdown Allowances and Insurance Certificates
    • Establish strong working relationships with key Vendors, Merchants, Distribution and Operations
    • Monitor on-going vendor performance including on-time ship and complete performance compliance
    • Create and implement quality control process to test ongoing vendor operations including shipment quality, packing compliance and social compliance metrics
    • Supply Buying with individual vendor data
    • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and special projects as assigned
    • Research and respond to vendor chargeback disputes
    • Vendor communication – This will consist of answering questions about our vendor compliance guidelines and follow-up to ensure vendors comply with these guidelines.
    • Consumer Product Safety – Responsible for documentation, reporting and submitting samples to a lab for Consumer Product Safety testing.
    • Updating the Vendor Compliance Manual
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or two years equivalent experience required
    • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications required; experience in data gathering; including the ability to translate large amounts of data into actionable insights preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with business partners
    • Strong professional and effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines
    • Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast- paced and deadline-oriented environment
