COLSA is hiring for a UAS Production Manager to lead exciting unmanned aerial systems projects. You'll oversee production workflows, guide a skilled team, and act a key client liaison - ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards.
*Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential functions)
- Responsible for the overall management of the Production staff; provides managerial guidance to team of UAS engineers, technicians, and specialists regarding production workflow, operations and problem solving based on expertise and knowledge
- Responsible for ensuring that staffing, facilities, equipment, etc., are adequate for successful completion of the task/project
- Responsible for preparing department specific reports as required by government or customer
- Develops policies, guidelines, and procedures and recommends changes to procedure when needed
- Works alongside other UAS team leads and managers to ensure customer satisfaction relating to technical contract performance; may work independently as needed
- Coordinates some logistics elements, including but not limited to spares, support equipment, training, facilities, technical data, and provisioning
- Controls the flow of assets, services, and information between point of origin through receipt in order to meet customer requirement
- Serves as liaison between department and other departments as well as with outside customers, regulatory personnel, etc.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience including Army and training range operations
- Knowledge of Army regulations for sUAS flight operations and safety
- Understanding of Army Air Worthiness process and documentation
- Experience with sUAS design and build using SolidWorks
- sUAS Production line, outsourcing, and supply chain experience
- DoD Secret clearance; US Citizenship required;
Preferred Qualifications
- Pilot/operator experience for Group 1 and Group 2 multi-rotor, fixed wing, fixed wing VTOL, helicopter, and tethered multi-rotor sUAS
- sUAS powerplants including Electric, Nitro, Gasoline, Hybrid, and Turbine
- FAA Certification for sUAS operations
- Army Aviation Experience
- R/C Modeling Experience including FPV
- DoD 5000 knowledge for engineering processes including SRR, PDR, CDR events.
