    THE ROLE: The primary objective of this position is to work with the Product Manager to develop a marketing communications plan that is aligned with the overall product line strategy as well as generate content and coordinate the tactics required to execute the marketing communications plan successfully.

    This person will be responsible for carrying-out ongoing marketing/communications activities that support the marketing strategy and goals, sales goals and to promote accelerated growth of Analytics Process Instrumentation in the Americas. This person will work closely with the Product Segment Manager, Marketing Campaign Manager, Digital Marketing Team, sales and customers to execute successful marketing programs. This includes providing product marketing support to customers, the sales organization and marketing teams to help build brand/product awareness, generate leads and increase revenue for the Xylem Analytics YSI, MJK and OI process product lines.

    Major responsibilities include content creation, managing marketing and advertising schedules, contributions to WRRF Insights magazine, coordinating efforts of outside vendors and maintaining accurate product information in catalogs, spec sheets and on the web. Content creation includes, but is not limited to: blog posts, graphics (infographics), tradeshow graphics, advertisements (print/digital), compelling ad copy, launch kits, videos, customer and selling partner emails/newsletters, articles, presentations and webinars.

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

    • Create new product launch plans and launch kits.
    • Generate effective communications programs and newsletters for customers, selling partners and sales team.
    • Create webinars, videos, catalogs, graphics, spec sheets, product pictures and application notes to support the product line.
    • Support marketing/lead generation strategies to improve sales for new and existing products.
    • Create and deliver presentations for sales team and selling partners.
    • Assist with content creation for YSI.com, WRRF Insights magazine, newsletters/emails, Social Media and blog activities.
    • Develop and execute strategies to improve SEO and lead generation.
    • Assist in activities designed to build and improve our customer database.
    • Monthly reporting on KPIs, SEO efforts and success of marketing programs.
    • Willing to travel; potentially internationally. Total travel requirements approximately 10-15%.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Strong oral and written communications skills.
    • Strong computer graphics and design skills.
    • Computer savvy – Proficient with Microsoft office and Adobe Creative suite (Illustrator, Photoshop). Video editing software experience preferred. Experience with HTML coding and/or Marketo a plus.
    • Ability to give in person presentations to 50+ customers and potential customers at conferences, industry trade show, company sites and customer sites.
    • Well organized, self-motivated and the ability to learn independently.
    • Decisive with good judgment. Must be able to work effectively with a high level of autonomy and minimal direct oversight
    • Ability to perform as both a strategic thinker and tactical planner
    • Customer focused: proven ability to work constructively with customers.
    • Highly adaptable to change, as Xylem is a rapidly growing, publically-traded company.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines.
    • Ability to work in a team environment with a willingness to bring forth and implement ideas to help improve job and cost effectiveness.
    • Willingness to experiment with new technology and marketing methods.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts, Visual Communications, Marketing or equivalent.
    • 1 to 4 years’ experience with content marketing and executing marketing plans.
    • Experience using and/or marketing technology similar to Xylem Process Instrumentation or high aptitude for science, technology a plus.
    • Any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience.
