    Godwin, a Xylem brand, offers a broad product line of fully automatic self-priming pumps used in temporary and permanent applications.  With a full range of diesel and electric pumps available to purchase or rent, Godwin pumps are used for dewatering and liquids transfer in mining, constructions, municipal and industrial projects around the world.

    THE ROLE: Godwin, a Xylem brand is seeking a Product Manager for its Americas product portfolio.The Americas Product Manager will provide technical product support, application assistance and product training to sales staff. He/She will coordinate pricing and product rationalization activities and champion new product developments through the Xylem Product Development (XPD) process. He/She will provide technical and commercial support and information required and facilitate communication between operations, engineering, sales and customer service.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Manage portfolio, life cycle, and product road maps for the assigned product group.
    • Champion new products through the Xylem XPD process, including opportunity prioritization, completion of activities and ensuring new product introductions occur per schedule.
    • Achieve targeted growth and profitability for the product lines.
    • Maximize the revenue and margin for the assigned product group.
    • Provide product forecasts, as appropriate, to operations.
    • Propose cost improvements and coordinate costing recommendations with both Engineering and Operations.
    • Conduct annual pricing and product rationalization activities.
    • Product presentations to sales personnel and customers.
    • Travel to strategic customers, as appropriate.
    • Maintain and evaluate market research on competitors, markets and technology trends. Maintain current intelligence on assigned products.
    • Support for product literature, advertising and web-based efforts.
    • Support analysis of product problems & failures.
    • Develop and maintain key business contacts within the industry.
    • Interface with suppliers on product specifications and requirements.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts with minimum 2 years product management experience
    • Knowledge of pump technology and/or dewatering
    • Ability to analyze and synthesize market information
    • Continuous improvement mindset
    • Strong financial analysis and data mining skills
    • Able to achieve business objectives through influence
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
