    THE ROLE: Xylem seeks to hire a Territory Manager. The Territory Manager will manage the AWS Sales in the South East Territory to include; AL, GA, NC, SC, TN, and increase business in all product categories with additional focus on industrial and municipal markets. Identify new business opportunities.  Utilize all resources within AWS to develop new business.  Work with the sales organization in the area of pricing as well as completing daily tasks necessary to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction for increased revenue and profitability.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Plan and develop sales of assigned products in assigned territory.
    • Provide technical support for assigned territory.
    • Prepare quotations for standard and some non-standard jobs based on customer specifications and drawings.
    • Develop new business opportunities including tradeshow participation.
    • Communicate competitor activity to Regional Manager.
    • Attend and participate in required training sessions.
    • Administer pricing policies, systems, and procedures to ensure that pricing information for distributor/rep accounts is within company guidelines. Price management within business system, nonstandard pricing, discounting, pricing for credits/warranty and price metrics.
    • Edit, process, and make recommendations on special discounts for Nonstandard price request from sales, distributors and OEM's.
    • Analyze customer needs and recommend products to meet those needs.
    • Select products utilizing computer sizing and selection programs.
    • Provide the essential information required by the Customer Service Group to ensure successful processing.
    • Maintain Project funnel with coordination and updates from channels.
    • Responsible for achieving sales revenue, profit and/or expense objectives in overall area or region.
    • Rotate to other departments/location as assigned for development opportunities. i.e. Customer Service, Marketing and Product Assembly.
    • Ability to Coach, Strong Work Ethics, Risk-Taker, Accountable, Manage by Prevention, Distributor Conflicts, Timely submittal of required reports, Organization, Able to make Decisions, Ability to Work Independently.
    • Effectively motivate non-reports to implement Strategies.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 4 year degree required or a minimum of 5 years sales experience.
    • Territory includes: AL, GA, NC, SC and TN
    • The person we are hiring will be responsible for calling on GWT distributors in those states as well as making dealer calls with the distributor.  Travel will be 60% plus.
