THE ROLE:  Xylem Dewatering Solutions seeks to hire a Field Service/Set-up Technician to provide support to branch operations, including: the yard and field service in the Indianapolis, IN area. Xylem Dewatering Solutions is the leader in portable industrial pumping, offers full-service dewatering capabilities including pump sales, rental and on-site services to transport water and wastewater to customers worldwide. • Safe operation of diesel powered hydraulic lifting equipment; i.e., forklifts, front-end loaders, tow motors, etc.
• Safe operation and monitoring of operation equipment.
• Safely mobilize and demobilize equipment on job sites.
• Complete paper work flow associated with loading/unloading equipment to ensure accuracy of inventory.
• Obey all Godwin Pumps and customer safety rules.
• Maintain communication with dispatch as to whereabouts and estimated arrival/departure times.
• Assist in the set-up of Godwin pumping equipment as necessary.
• Available for on-call off-hours driving assignments on a rotating schedule for emergencies.
• Assist as needed in preparing rental equipment for dispatch and ensuring yard is organized and maintained

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• One to two years’ experience in the construction industry preferred.
• One year experience operating Class A commercial vehicles. 
• Experience with flatbed trailers and proper load securement techniques (chaining, strapping, etc.)  
• Valid state issued commercial driver license 
• Current Department of Transportation medical card
