    Godwin, a Xylem brand, offers a broad product line of fully automatic self-priming pumps used in temporary and permanent applications.  With a full range of diesel and electric pumps available to purchase or rent, Godwin pumps are used for dewatering and liquids transfer in mining, constructions, municipal and industrial projects around the world.

    THE ROLE: Godwin, a Xylem brand, seeks to hire a Field Service to assist in the set-up of pumps, hoses, pipe and other pumping accessories on the customers’ job site. This includes the loading of pumps, hoses, pipes and other pumping accessories on Godwin Pumps delivery trucks and/or its freight carriers and the unloading of the equipment at the job site.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Safely load equipment and accessories onto vehicle
    • Safely unload equipment and accessories off of vehicle
    • Safe operation of diesel powered hydraulic lifting equipment; i.e. forklifts to load and unload equipment
    • Safely set-up of pumping equipment and assist in maintaining orderliness of job site; utilize fusion machines to safely and properly fuse HDPE pipe of varying lengths, diameters and configurations
    • Perform daily visual inspections of equipment and document any items in need of service
    • Communicate with supervisor and Sales Engineer
    • Available for on-call off-hours assignments as necessary for emergencies
    • Available for out-of-town and overnight travel, occasionally up to two weeks

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Safely and effectively operate a company vehicle for extended periods of time throughout cities, job sites, major highways and interstates (including tunnels and bridges) and in all weather conditions
    • Preferred - Prior pipe fusion experience with pipe diameters ranging from 4 inch to 36 inch.
    • Preferred - Fusion certification
    • Preferred - Forklift certification

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Heavy lifting (up to 70 lbs.)
    • Safely stand eight (8) hours per day
    • Safely use full range of physical motions associated with general labor work continually throughout an entire work day
    • To include walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, climbing (specifically on and off of delivery trucks to a height of 30” – 42”), pushing and pulling
    • To include safe repetitive lifting of up to 45 pounds at least 20 times per day
    • To include safe frequent lifting of up to 60 pounds up to 20 times per day
    • To include safe occasional lifting up to 70 pounds up to 10 times per day
    • Ability to safely operate a company vehicle continuously for a minimum of 4 hours per day and cumulative throughout an entire work day
