    THE ROLE:  Xylem seeks to hire a Customer Service Center Supervisor for our Applied Water Systems distribution center in Fresno, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to join Xylem’s AWS Team and its efforts to provide products and systems for the efficient movement and use of water.  Xylem employees share a passion for meeting the world’s needs by offering the best water solutions to our customers.     This position supervises the customer service and warehouse functions to achieve company goals and the associated daily activities of order handling, shipping/receiving and inventory maintenance for boxed products (Water Systems/Laing Thermotech) at CDC-Fresno.  This is a hands-on supervisory position. 

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES/PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Supervises the employees and oversees the daily customer service and warehouse functions from initial inquiry to order inputting and through to shipment and closure.  Including drop-ship procurement, claims handling and disputes. 
    • Supervises inventory maintenance activities, reviews discrepancies and provides root cause analysis for variances.  Takes appropriate corrective action. 
    • Ensures training and cross-training for back up support; develops work instructions for standard work.
    • Actively carries out the customer service duties and responsibilities for Laing.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

    • Minimum A.S. degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
    • Minimum 5 years related experience in customer service, warehousing and inventory maintenance. 
    • Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating employees in a team environment and setting/achieving short and mid-term goals.
    • Strong oral and written communication (English) and leadership skills
    • Solid organizational skills and have the ability to effectively manage time.
    • Product knowledge (F/B-apps)
    • MS Office Suite, ERP, EDI, and sales history tools (demonstrated proficiency-all systems)
    • Willing to travel. Minimal travel required.
