    THE ROLE: The Human Resources Business Partner is a hands-on role that delivers full cycle Human Resources services enabling the organization to attract, manage, develop and retain colleagues to meet customer needs and achieve business objectives. This role provides internal customer support and drives HR functional excellence and process improvement. As a member of the HR Team this role requires strong team collaboration across businesses and geography. 

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Responsible for managing employee relations issues including conflicts and appropriate resolution; Performance Improvement Plan development and delivery as required; and investigations.
    • Responsible for communicating and managing recruitment program from initiation of the requisition to the extension of the offer letter to the awarded candidate. Coordinate as necessary with the recruiting team for extensive portions of the process.
    • Responsible for onboarding process of the new employees. Coordinate as necessary with the recruiting team for certain portions of the process. The onboarding process will occasionally include relocation and immigration support and coordination.
    • Responsible for administering at the local level: compensation/remuneration; equal employment/affirmative action; job codes; new hire titles; termination processing; all metrics; training and development; non-wired training records; and salary planning coordination.
    • Responsible for taking a hands-on approach and successfully monitoring the “pulse” of t he employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement. Acts as a valued and trusted partner for employees.
    • Coordinate New Leader Assimilation sessions as necessary in a timely manner.
    • Implement process training as well as enterprise programs at the local level – Connect.Perform.Grow (CPG), Xylem Learning Center/Training (XLC), Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence (TACOE), etc.
    • Responsible for the administration and communication of all benefit plans to employees, including annual enrollment process. Serve as liaison and employee advocate as required and assist in resolving problems and questions.
    • Learn all new corporate software programs and conduct audits as required to ensure comprehensive transition from existing programs to the new program on a timely basis.
    • Conduct internal audits for SOA, ISO, Pension Plans, EHS, etc. to ensure compliance for HR related matters.
    • Maintain all organization charts and headcount reports on a monthly basis.
    • Administration and assure compliance of the Short Term Disability Plan.
    • Coordinate and work with the Temporary Agency relative to all temporaries.
    • Maintains/updates employee data in the HR Information Systems and participates in the development and implementation of new systems.
    • Leads and/or serves on project teams as assigned.
    • All other duties as assigned.
    • Manage the reception area and Receptionist at the Charlotte facility.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
    • 4-6 years of directly related experience
    • Demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of human resources, state and federal labor laws and regulations
    • Excellent working knowledge of compensation, benefits, employee relations, organizational development, and training
    • Ability to act independently and quickly solve problems, make decisions with a strong customer oriented focus
    • Embraces change and demonstrates ability to operate as an agent of change
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Expert in Excel
    • Strong Business Acumen
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written & verbal), and customer service skills

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • PHR/SPHR
    • Green Belt Certification
    • Affirmative Action Plan and Positive Outreach experience
    • Large manufacturing or CPG company experience
