    THE ROLE: Sensus, a Xylem brand, seeks to hire a Project Manager, Solutions.  The Project Manager is an experienced professional responsible for effective management of all technical and non-technical aspects of assigned projects and project teams to successfully complete the solutions project on-time and within specifications. The Project Manager must be knowledgeable in all aspects the design, development and verification process as it relates to hardware, firmware and software components along with the enablement of supporting processes and services. They should be able to integrate all aspects of the solution and oversee development, test, manufacturing, customer support, documentation and training functions. The Project Manager will prepare project plans, including schedules, and will maintain effective relationships with a matrix Project Team.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Establish and manage overall NPI deliverables and associated operation and development plans to enable a consistent and high quality solution to meet current business needs.
    • Develop and track common engineering, quality and operations  metrics and reporting via NPI dashboards
    • Communicating implementation progress and decisions to key stakeholders and executive team
    • Drive detailed product development tasks and deliverables.
    • Matrix Manage Cross Functional Development Team to deliver committed content (features, products and solutions) to stated plans.
    • Track weekly status of each solution release, track actions to completion and drive all issues across the development teams
    • Manage project risk by identifying, analyzing, and responding to mitigation plans

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 7+ years of project/program management experience
    • Demonstrated experience leading projects through the full product development life cycle using Stage Gate methodology from concept and customer requirements through commercial launch of the solution.
    • Demonstrated experience in delivering solutions based on products developed using Agile methodology.
    • Demonstrated experience matrix management and coordination of large multi-functional team consisting of marketing, engineering, test, documentation, customer support and training team members.
    • Proficient in all aspects of project management, including development of schedules, and communication of status and tasks.
    • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize personal and team activities.
    • Must be able to drive the team and work through challenges to ensure tasks are clearly assigned and completed per agreed schedules.
    • Must be proficient with computer hardware and software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.)
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills are essential
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to clearly message at Executive level.
    • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
