    THE ROLE: Xylem seeks to hire an Inventory Manager. The ideal candidate will manage inventory in Auburn, related distribution centers, off site warehouses. Supervise the Inventory Analysts to support production, implement inventory control best practices. Supervise Procurement Specialists in tactical buying. Supervise Label Clerk. Manage cycle count procedures to ensure inventory accuracy.  Develop inventory budgets and support monthly, weekly, daily reporting.  Support S&OP process.  Manage E&O inventory to achieve budgeted objectives.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES/PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversee tactical procurement of components to support production
    • Develop inventory budget and report status
    • Monitor material availability for production proactively act on availability issues
    • Eliminate production interference due to material availability
    • Manage phase-in/phase-out of stock as driven by change management, ECR/ECN
    • Support new product introduction
    • Manage E&O inventory by driving material disposition, coordinating with Finance and PLM’s
    • Update forecast in ERP system
    • Monitor and update inventory management parameters in ERP system
    • Update Inventory Outlook file
    • Review Cycle Count data

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field
    • 5+ years’ experience in Inventory, Supply Chain, Production, and/or Procurement Management
    • Effective leadership skills: The manager needs strong leadership skills to carry out recruiting and hiring; resolving conflicts, and keeping the people motivated to work effectively
    • Excellent communication skills: On a regular basis, the Inventory Managers needs to communicate with suppliers, inter-department managers, Finance, Product Line Managers
    • Problem solving skills: must have the ability to anticipate problems and prepare to solve them
    • Extensive experience using ERP system to manage inventory/production
    • Ability to work under pressure and still maintain ideal disposition towards work
    • Communicate effectively in English

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • APICS Certification
    • ERP-Lx experience or equivalent
