    Valor Water Analytics, a Xylem brand, is revolutionizing the water utility industry by transforming water utility data into financial solutions.  Water utilities face major financial challenges not limited to revenue impacts of conservation and huge infrastructure costs – yet there very little innovation in the water SaaS arena. 

    The Role: At Valor, we build intelligent water software products that empower utilities to activate data insights, drive smarter decisions, and optimize system efficiency. As a key contributor to the Product Management Team, you will bridge the business and technical worlds as you develop solutions that our clients love. With your get things done attitude, you will work closely with designers, engineers, and data scientists to “crank out specs”, drive product roadmaps, and deliver projects on time and budget. You thrive in startup-like environments, and are adept in prioritizing activities to drive optimal business results. You enjoy creative problem solving, and are able to foster engagement with early adopters. You have innate curiosity, and understand what is necessary to create value for clients. You are passionate about using your knowledge to evolve product strategy and improve product success, which in turn drives Valor’s business success.

     

    Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

    • Manage vision and roadmap for select Valor products and guide development from conception to launch
    • Identify market opportunities and contribute to product strategy
    • Understand client needs and gather product requirements
    • Engage closely with engineering and data science counterparts to determine technical implementation methods and schedule
    • Deliver continuous iteration of product based on client feedback
    • Participate/assist in sprint and release planning
    • Participate/assist in testing activities
    • Travel as needed

     

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience in a product management role with a focus on software products and technologies
    • Ability to write clear product requirements
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Strong organization, problem-solving, and analytical skills
    • Strong Team Player
    • Plus if you have worked with software products that are used by utilities
    • Plus if you have UX/UI experience
