    The Role: Xylem seeks to hire a Program Manager, New Product Development, who will be responsible for leading and delivering NPD programs on time and budget in the U.S., communicating closely with key stakeholders, supporting NPD portfolio management and continuously improving NPD and Project Management process and methodology within the Xylem organization.

    Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

     

    • Responsible and accountable for on-time delivery of NPD projects/ programs through Stage & Gate process.
    • Effectively communicate with key stakeholders (i.e. Business Unit Leaders) on program status, risks and resource needs, and continuously improve program management practices
    • Apply project leadership skills to manage critical paths, develop timely countermeasures and build, influence and lead cross-functional teams to execute plans
    • Engage and support portfolio and enterprise resource managements by utilizing Enterprise Portfolio Management (EPM) tool (i.e. Project Web Application) and methods
    • Adopt best practices & methodology (i.e. Agile) in software or firmware developments
    • Work closely with the global PMO team (outside U.S.), and engage & support NPD process improvements & trainings

      

    Additional Responsibilities:

     

    • Facilitate and mentor project teams in preparation of Gate reviews to senior leaders
    • Plan and deliver NPD trainings to AWS cross-functions in North America
    • Support Value Optimized Design (VOD) initiatives and programs in AWS

      

    Key Relationships:

    • Internal:
      • The position will work closely with the PM team in Montecchio, Italy in terms of NPD process and programs
      • This position will have frequent interactions with key stakeholders across functions in NA, and globally

     

    Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant New Product Development project/ program management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

     

    •    PMP certification preferred

    • Experience with Stage & Gate Process and Enterprise Portfolio Management (EPM) tool (Project Web Application) preferred

    • Experience with Electronics and/or software/ firmware developments preferred

    • BS Engineering with MBA or master degree preferred
