    THE ROLE: Sensus seeks to hire a Director of Software Marketing, reporting directly to the EVP of Marketing for Sensus.  This position will be responsible for setting, communicating, & delivering a growth & marketing strategy for all Software across the Measurement & Control Solutions group. This includes driving strong execution around key marketing processes including NPI, commercialization, and customer retention. In addition, developing deep qualitative & quantitative insights about the needs, wants & performance of customers, identifying keys to our success, aligning strategy and execution across all geographies.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES/PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Development of an overall Business Development Roadmap that identifies top opportunities for Software and the execution of that plan.
    • Directing the full lifecycle of the business development; ensuring the company is focused on profitable growth pursuits that are in line with the company’s strategic plan and for a formal process of strategy development in pursuit of new business and organic growth
    • Focus on all software related products and offerings for Sensus Technology Solutions
    • Serve as a key member of the Marketing team that sets the company’s strategic direction of product offerings.
    • Manage a team of software product managers who are responsible for various software products/solutions ranging from the AMI Software to application specific solutions.
    • Responsible for identifying major changes in the business environment, customer base or competitive landscape, and recommending the required adjustments;
    • Revenue generation and strategic partnerships development and management.
    • Manage complex contract negotiation and work with legal counsel as required.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

    • 10 years plus of Global Business Development, Marketing, and/or Sales experience in a high tech, utility or software  business.
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or equivalent
    • Experience marketing or selling products or services in a high-visibility, high growth environment, clear ability to create service solutions in a high technology environment
    • Ability to quickly grasp an understanding of the global utility market: products, players, technologies and contacts
    • Demonstrated ability to develop partnership strategies that support organizational goals
    • Demonstrated track record of developing, presenting and closing complex revenue generating as well as complex strategic partnership proposals
    • Proven ability to negotiate complex agreements and keep terms of deal intact; proven ability to manage negotiation at senior executive level within the partner organization
    • Exceptional communication skills, including presentation and formal proposal writing, must be able to interact across organizational boundaries, earn respect and support of others
    • Superior analytics: demonstrated track record developing and managing complex deal structures with multiple variables including financial modeling and analysis
    • Experienced in conducting business and negotiating contracts with Global customers
