    SHIFT: Tuesday to Saturday, shifts may vary within the window of 5 am to 8 pm (on call rotations on Sunday or Monday)

    COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    • Accurately perform and maintain competency in sample preparation for high complexity leukemia/lymphoma immunophenotyping, MRD, and PNH testing according to written standard procedures
    • Participate in the management of inventory and qualification of antibodies prior to use
    • Participate in the maintenance and quality control of instruments, including daily setup, routine calibration, and troubleshooting
    • Maintain department records and quality control related documents
    • Participate in the direct review, quality control, and all necessary troubleshooting for patient data and analytical results 
    • Perform various documentation and reporting functions pertinent to the completion of technical work
    • Participate in department continuous improvement initiatives
    • Participate in or lead the training of other technologists, as directed by the supervisor

    EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Immunology or other associated Life Sciences discipline.
    • ASCP Qualification in Medical Technology or Flow Cytometry (QCYM) is desirable.
    • 1-3 years related work experience in a high complexity laboratory setting, especially flow cyometry, is strongly desired.  Strong hands on wet lab experience with sample processing, manual assay performance and complex analysis in a fast paced flow cytometry testing environment is highly desirable.
    • Must have analytical abilities necessary to perform high complexity test procedures with a high degree of accuracy and an understanding of their relevance to specific patient conditions.
    • Experience with Beckman Coulter Gallios/Navios instruments and Kaluza analysis software is a plus.
    • Strong organizational and documentation skills are required.  Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
