We Offer you a promising career in our labs!Cytogenetic lab open position for "Experienced /Entry level Karyotyping Analysis Tech" in Cytogenetic cancer diagnosis.Duties and Responsibilities:Primarily Karyotype analysis work (including microscopic analyzing and computer image analysis)Knowledge of the current ISCN guidelines.Not limited to Perform culture setup, FISH set up, harvest, direct harvest, FISH slide wash, and slide preparation on intended specimen types (bone marrow, peripheral blood, fresh tissue, smears, urine and paraffin embedded tissue samples),and staining.Not limited to FISH analysis work(including microscopic analyzing and imaging)Have a working knowledge of all clinical tests performed in the laboratory (i.e. Bone marrow analysis and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH)).Accessioning of clinical specimens received in the laboratory, include creating patient files and smear making.Participation in laboratory quality control, trouble-shooting of equipment problems and sub-optimal processing, inventory control, quality assurance, compliance with regulatory agency rules and guidelines;Participation in development and implementation of new tests, training, and continuing education;Preparing reagents, ordering reagents, managing the laboratory inventory, general laboratory cleaning/disinfection, instrument maintenance and calibrations.Monitoring of instruments and their Preventative maintenance due dates.Reagent preparation and quality control testing.Follow Basic laboratory safety guidelines (i.e. General laboratory, bio-hazardous, and chemical safety).Training staff and assess technical competency.Follows established in-process quality control procedures including recording data;Follows SOPM and work instructions and lab polices.CG (ASCP) certification is preferred. If lacking, pursuit of ASCP certification is desired.Provide overall assistance to the laboratory staff at the discretion of the manager or designee in order to improve the efficiency of laboratory operations.Other tasks assigned by manager/supervisor or his designee.Basic Requirement:A minimum of bachelor’s degree (BA. or BS.) in a scientific discipline or medical technology.A minimum of 2 year experience in Cytogenetic field.Hours Required:Full time 40 hours/week8 hour a day/5 days a week.Thursday to Monday 1pm to 9pm (Training Schedule will be different)Typical hours of operation are between 5am to 9pm, but subject to change.Willing to cover others while on vacation.Job Types: Full-time, ContractCOVID-19 considerations:All Applicants are required to be fully vaccinated.
