JOB SUMMARY

skyTran is looking for a highly motivated individual who will be writing firmware for our transformational, high-speed, magnetic levitation vehicle. 

You will be working directly with our head of Vehicle Control (20 years experience / PhD) and will be making major contributions to the development of firmware and control systems across a wide range of vehicle and levitation subsystems. Additionally, you will assist in the development / simulation of our next generation control systems and developing systems to collect and analyze operational data.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Embedded firmware development in C
• Testing and simulation development in Python 
• Design, simulation and testing of control algorithms (eg PID / LQR / MIMO etc)

DESIRED ​QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's degree or 2+ years related experience
• Previous experience in embedded firmware development in C
• Previous experience in control, robotics, drones, mechatronics, or other related fields
• Some experience with programming in Python
• Experience with PIC32 microcontrollers is a plus
• Basic understanding of digital electronics and schematics.
• Basic understanding of control theory  (eg PID / LQR etc)
• Strong engineering intuition
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Adaptability
