TECHNICAL TRAINER - AVIONICS INTEGRATION / 2ND SHIFT
A Technical Trainer believes that education and knowledge are power, but
a SpaceX Technical Trainer combines that belief with a strong sense of
urgency, creativity, and resourcefulness and loves opportunities for
hands-on application. The ideal candidate brings applicable industry
experience to the table and is armed with strong communication skills
and innovative problem-solving abilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Train and certify production integration teams in applicable aspects
of IPC-A-620 w/spacecraft addendum and J-STD-001 for integration
environments
- Create course materials, such as Powerpoints, student handouts, and
tests for instructor-led programs with student assessments
- Lead training modules (classroom and online) for production
personnel on a variety of technical topics
- Support assessment of training effectiveness and personnel
competence through surveys, communication with stakeholders, liaison
with stakeholders, review of quality/productivity metrics in
conjunction with stakeholders
- Support development and update of process specifications and
research on new technologies as a subject matter expert.
- • Special assignments. (e.g. leading vehicle or process
modifications in the field)
- • Engage production management, engineering, quality and subject
matter experts to gather required technical information on complex
manufacturing processes and technologies
- • Monitor human error trends as a result of training to assess
training impacts and provide solutions to demonstrate a downward
trend
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- IPC J-STD-001 Certified Trainer
- IPC-A-620 w/Spacecraft Addendum Certified Trainer
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in an electronics
manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 3 years of training experience within an electronics
manufacturing environment
- Minimum 1 year of experience with electronics manufacturing
processes (e.g. soldering, harness build/rework, harness routing and
integration
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
- Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
- Experience with video editing and online training module development
- Skills to independently analyze, review, and research manufacturing
processes and applicable standards
- Excellent oral and written training/communication skills
- Proficiency with the development of training programs and materials,
including student assessments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2013 or later
- Demonstrated experience as a team-oriented self-starter, eager to
meet and exceed objectives, with the ability to handle a
multi-project environment
- Ability to read engineering drawings, including PCBA drawings and
electrical schematics
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Position may require extended work hours and weekend work

- To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations,
applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the
U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or
eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S.
