MANAGER, PLANNING & FULFILLMENT
We are looking for a Manager of Planning & Fulfillment to join our
Supply Chain team, based in Hawthorne, CA. The Manager will be
responsible for leading a high-profile team of Material Planners and
Buyers responsible for the planning and procurement of purchased and
fabricated parts needed to build the revolutionary rockets and
spacecraft that will eventually get mankind to Mars!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop standard processes for material and systems planning and
drive continuous improvement
- Develop Material Planners and Buyers into high performing team,
capable of planning and procuring for all needed parts
- Manage spend portfolio and global supply base, and negotiate
supplier capacity and engagement strategies.
- Negotiate globally competitive sourcing programs and source
alternative suppliers for all materials, components and services,
including mitigation of sole/single source risk and ensure
continuity of supply
- Develop order policy and planning guidelines to automate system
driven planning messages and minimize part shortages
- Develop a global supply chain
- Work closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, and other
Supply Chain teams to ensure we meet internal customer expectations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, science, engineering,
or similar technical discipline
- 6+ years of experience in material demand planning, supply chain
management, material cost control, or master production scheduling
- 3+ years of experience with MRP and ERP systems, and with navigating
complex Bill of Materials (BOMs) and raw material data
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership role
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- APICS, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar certification
- Experience with SQL databases and queries
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, including ability to create pivot
tables or macros, and analyze data
- Ability to work in a fast paced, cross functional environment, both
independently and with a team
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across
disciplines and multiple levels of management
- A passion for continuous improvement
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work long hours and occasional weekends when needed

including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you
must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S.,
