PROCESS PLANNER (AVIONICS) 2ND SHIFT As a Process Planner, you will be giving technicians the instructions they need to assemble and test avionics hardware, according to released requirements. Grease the wheels of production for the entire avionics department, in a group effort to put hardware onto our launch vehicles and spacecraft. RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Create and revise planning documents
    • Author and illustrate technician instructional content for work orders, for the assembly and testing of avionics hardware
    • Revise and troubleshoot all aspects of process planning, as directed by engineering
    • Review all aspects of planning documents and approve, as part of the larger approval process
    • Maintain long-term authoring projects, while at the same time addressing a stream of real-time planning requests

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School diploma or GED
    • 2 years of experience in process planning or production operations

    PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
    • Process planning experience in automotive or aviation industries
    • Capacity to read and understand technical drawings and schematics
    • Ability to work under deadlines and to deliver in the midst of changes in project direction
    • Ability to creatively overhaul and re-design any project or workflow to optimize comprehension, while meeting requirements
    • Ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse co-workers and personalities in engineering, production, and management; ability to have insight into their changing needs
    • Ability to “own” effective and timely project completion
    • Ability to quickly learn, absorb, and apply technical content to further develop understanding of electronics assembly and testing processes
    • Strong analytical, project management, computer, communication, and writing skills (typing, spelling, grammar)
    • Familiarity with mechanical processes in a manufacturing environment
    • Curiosity and drive to improve things

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be available to work all required shift hours, overtime and weekends, with some on-call hours as needed

    ITAR REQUIREMENTS:

    • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
