SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYST – PROCUREMENT
Overall responsibilities include: cost management - analyze and help
control spend across all commodities, lead cost estimation and cost
reduction initiatives including Value Add / Value Engineering projects,
help drive profitable growth; supply base optimization - analyze
supplier performance and capability data and develop tools and
strategies to drive optimal sourcing strategy, lead/support supply base
improvement initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop should-cost analysis processes for directly procured
material
- Partner with strategic commodity teams to build/mature component
cost models and supplier should cost audit format
- Drive supplier should cost audits with the procurement and supplier
engineering teams
- Measure and report direct material cost reduction status and key
initiatives on a regular basis
- Improve and increase functionality of the aPriori cost modeling
software
- Work upfront with engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and
finance teams to determine design for cost/manufacturability,
make vs. buy, should cost, buy complete strategies, etc.
- Work with the Strategic Sourcing teams to analyze supplier
performance/capability data and develop tools and strategies to
influence supply base optimization efforts
- Lead/support key initiatives to drive marked improvement in key
performance areas
- Support/drive continuous improvement initiatives
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completed bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, business,
or similar technical discipline
- 4+ years of procurement, finance, engineering, or manufacturing
experience
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or supply chain management is
highly preferred
- Expertise in using aPriori or another comparable should cost
modeling software
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
- Strong technical knowledge and skills in current technologies and
applications, ie. SQL, MS Office Suite, Access, Tableau, etc.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, both
independently and with a team.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across
disciplines and with multiple levels of management
- Experience with six sigma, lean facilitation, and continuous
improvement
- Remarkable problem solving skills with a bias for speed
- Ability to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet
customer and company needs
- Effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills
- Ability to read drawings and blueprints
- Conducts all activities with the highest of integrity

must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S.,
