TECHNICAL PROJECT LEAD – EEE PARTS RELIABILITY ENGINEERING
The EEE Parts Technical Project Lead plays a critical role in supporting
the design engineer community towards higher reliability systems. This
position ensures SpaceX can continue to use commercial electronics from
a wide range of manufacturers. This person will be responsible for
driving the creation of new software tools, automated systems, and
efficient processes to support the dynamic needs of EEE part reliability
evaluations. This work impacts all stages of design and production of
the Dragon, Falcon, and Mars vehicles. This person must interface with
and understand the workflows of supply chain, design engineers, and
production.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop business intelligence tools to drive Avionics EEE piece part
reliability evaluations, issues, and risks towards closure
- Monitor and track manufacturing bill of materials and impacts to EEE
piece part approval processes
- Drive design engineering unique part countdown
- Develop and innovate new processes towards efficiency and automation
- Interface with supply chain, design engineers, production, and
external test labs and part manufacturers
- Manage data and innovate databases, business intelligence tools, and
Agile systems
- Support the EEE parts reliability and radiation engineering teams
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- 2+ years of SQL and database administration experience
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Expert level skill with Microsoft Excel
- History of leading small teams in technical business solution
- 2+ years of experience with Tableau or similar business intelligence
suite
- 1+ years of recent experience with the Atlassian tool JIRA
- 2+ years of experience with electronic bill of materials management
- 2+ years of experience working with outside vendors and managing
sub-contractor priorities and schedule
- Intermediate skill level with Python coding
- Understanding of hardware development lifecycle
- Understanding and experience navigating MRP systems
- Strong experience with driving planning, schedules, resources
trade-offs and task tracking
- Basic understanding of manufacturing systems for electronic
components
- Experience in any of the following areas is a plus: electrical
designs (component, circuits, PCBA’s, or electronic assemblies),
system architecture, supply chain, purchasing, production and
manufacturing
- Ability to describe and persuasively present business processes and
SpaceX history to part suppliers
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to
work independently as well as lead others.

must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S.,
