    SHIPPING & RECEIVING CLERK – 2ND SHIFT 

    RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Acknowledge and take receipt of all incoming materials and packages, identify receipt in ERP system, and transport to identified location
    • Package and shipping of materials
    • Take direction from shipping/receiving lead
    • Effectively utilize ERP system
    • Create/print receiver labels for the receipt of material/packages
    • File and maintain records of packing sheets/invoices
    • Responsible for system integrity in regards to all receipts and shipments
    • Maintain strict material handling practices in accordance with good practice and procedures
    • Verify all material received for conformity with accompanying paperwork, checking for damage, correct part numbers and quantity as required
    • Pick, lift, organize, and move standard hardware, raw material, purchase parts, machined details, and assemblies to support inventory control for the Tooling Fabrication and Asset Maintenance departments.
    • Assemble racks, look for parts, organize supplies, and any other tasks directed by lead
    • Perform good housekeeping chores in area
    • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment per safety procedures
    • Evaluate hazardous receipts/shipments and determine applicable methodology and packaging specifications
    • Coordinate internal receipt pickup and internal delivery service as required
    • Familiar with FedEx/UPS shipping and quoting of freight shipments

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a shipping / receiving or inventory control role

    PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Experience in a high volume manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or commercial aircraft environment
    • Experience with an ERP system
    • Experience and understanding of inventory and kitting processes
    • Certification operating a forklift or other material handling motorized vehicles and equipment
    • Strong computer skills, including familiarity with the Microsoft suite

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be able to work all required shift hours, overtime and weekends, as needed
    • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
    • Ability to work while standing on lifts and ladders
    • Able to drive company vehicles
