    COMPLIANCE TECHNICIAN Compliance Technicians will be responsible for regulatory requirements relating to OSHA, RCRA, EPA, and AS9100 requirements. This position is an integral part of our production team. Works with engineers, technicians and management daily to ensure our production facility can support our rapid pace of production, unparalleled in the industry.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Set up and maintain confined space entry permits (i.e., “sponge logs”)
    • Monitor confined spaces in accordance with OSHA regulations, including condition of occupants, air monitors, cameras, etc.
    • Maintain calibration and PM schedule for safety equipment
    • Maintain workplace organization standards

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma or GED required
    • At least one year experience working in or around OSHA confined spaces.

    PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Experience working in aerospace manufacturing environment.
    • Strong understanding of OSHA confined space requirements.
    • Basic understanding of handheld electronic air monitor operation and troubleshooting.
    • Strong understanding of safety programs and occupational safety hazard regulations and requirements.
    • Proficient with Word, PowerPoint and Excel. A demonstrated comfort with personal computers and willingness to learn specific software applications is preferred.
    • Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic, be innovative, detail oriented, possess initiative, be positive, and be people oriented.
    • Strong team building and communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate OSHA requirements to production groups.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be able to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed
    • Repetitive assembly operations, grasping, standing, lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
    • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted
    • Ability to stand for extended periods (8 hrs)

    • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
