  • Responsibilities

    We are looking for an outstanding Sales Trainer to join our Ad Sales Enablement Team (a division of the Global Learning & Development team), based in New York City. You will be responsible for managing on boarding, internal product training, and sales skills development for sales and sales support teams. These teams are responsible for driving revenue for Spotify’s free (ad-supported) tier across North and South America.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    • Conduct on-boarding sessions for new hires throughout North and South America
    • Work with internal teams, such as Product Marketing and Business Marketing, to conduct trainings on new products and sales positioning
    • Design and facilitate skills workshops for sales support teams (Client Services, Sales Planning and Ad Ops)
    • Work with sales managers to conduct needs assessment and drive sales initiatives
    • Occasional travel to all Americas markets to provide onsite training and coaching
    • Provide 1:1 coaching for sales support staff as needed
    • Assess and manage external training partners
    • Report to the Global Head of Sales Training & Enablement, based in NYC

    WHO YOU ARE: 

    • 5 years digital media industry experience, and preferred 2 years of training experience
    • Strong knowledge of the digital advertising industry
    • Experience providing training for sales support and/or media buying teams
    • You love helping people improve and perform
    • Strong ability to adapt your training style to learners’ needs
    • Experience with all aspects of training, including needs assessment, building lessons and job aides, selecting vendors, working with SMEs, and facilitation
    • A strong track record of developing internal relationships with learners, managers, partners, and SMEs
    • You are comfortable delivering candid feedback in a professional manner
    • You are able to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects
    • You have the ability to see the big picture and to work with sales staff in a productive and constructive way
    • Some previous sales experience or media agency experience preferred
    • Experience providing 1:1 coaching a plus
    • Fluent in English a must; Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills a huge plus
