    We are looking for a Workplace Performance & Innovation Intern to drive value for LinkedIn’s Real Estate strategy and workplace operational growth through strategic initiatives in key Bay Area locations and globally. This is a position for a motivated MBA student who can collaborate, train, and demonstrate agility by supporting internal teams.  The goal of the Workplace Performance & Innovation Intern is to support initiatives that lead to global portfolio optimization.  

    As an integral part of the Global Workplace Services team, you will work collaboratively with multiple teams to assist the completion of key initiatives.  You’ll compile organizational data sets (e.g. Real Estate portfolio, lease administration, capital cost, operational cost, space capacity, space demand, vacancies, utilization, energy cost, etc.) and create meaningful dashboard that would support strategic business decisions.  Your analysis will include a focus on the impact of workplace innovation on LinkedIn’s environmental impacts. For example, it  might involve an evaluation of the sustainability impacts and benefits of unassigned seating vs. assigned workstations.  It could examine business air travel patterns to develop a strategy and communication plan to influence sustainable travel and pilot initiative to reduce emissions.   

    Responsibilities:

    • Create data models accessing multiple data sources and systems
    • Build interactive dashboards for KPIs and Metrics
    • Streamline and automate reports using BI tools (e.g. Power BI)
    • Data Analysis
    • Develop tools to evaluate budget performance
    • Develop tools to evaluate project performance
    • Participate actively in GWS strategic initiatives
    • Manage stakeholder expectations
    • Build strategic relationships
    • Collaborate in solving challenging problems      

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Must be a student currently enrolled in an MBA program
    • BA/BS degree or equivalent years of field related experience
    • Must have the ability to participate in a 12 week summer internship program

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Office 365 proficiency
    • Data analytics using BI tools
    • Quality control
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, organizational and time management skills
    • Data validation 
    • Advanced data analytics
    • Comprehensive dashboard design
    • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
