    Location: This role can be based in either San Francisco, Sunnyvale, or New York depending on what the candidate approved for hire chooses.

     

    The Group Manager will partner closely with product marketing to drive the research and insights strategy and execution for the Marketing Solutions and Sales Solutions. The ideal candidate will be both analytical and creative, has experience with behavioral data and will be collaborative and act like an owner who exemplifies Linkedin’s culture and values. This position sits in the Market Research team within the broader Marketing organization that is responsible for driving understanding of LinkedIn’s member and customer audiences. We’re excited about research leaders who have people management experience, a strong results orientation and know how to create value in an agile, fast paced, high performing environment.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Be a thought partner to marketing, sales, and product stakeholders to determine best approach to solve research needs effectively; Strong execution ability using combination of internal and/or external teams to best balance speed and effectiveness
    • Manage and develop a high performing team of approx. 2-3 market researchers and demand excellence of self and others. Execute with a sense of urgency
    • Own and drive company- wide NPS, product NPS/satisfaction and brand tracker studies; Analyze and effectively communicate key drivers to move NPS in partnership with key stakeholders across LinkedIn
    • Develop and execute audience research including thought leadership, member segmentation, ongoing segment tracking and member insights studies in-house and through vendors
    • Work seamlessly with other insights organizations with User Experience Research, Research Operations, Business Analytics and GSO Insights
    • Expected to spend 50-60% of time being hands-on running individual projects alongside people management

     

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 8+ years of experience in market research (and/or other insights related) in consumer and/or enterprise internet business
    • 3+ years of people management experience

     

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

     

    • Strong project management skills

    • Experience managing internal and external research teams

    • Experience working with and querying behavioral data using SQL

    • Solid understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods and what method to apply to best answer the business objective

    • Hands-on experience and proven success in survey design, analysis and reporting

    • Strong business acumen, collaborative skills, and experience communicating research in concise, understandable language

    • Team player, collaborating and open to learning new, different methodologies and approaches to research that elevate the overall team’s capabilities

    • Ability to influence to help shape solutions and approaches among marketing and product teams to drive change and increase metrics

    • Experience in R or SPSS a plus
