    POSITION SUMMARY

    LinkedIn is seeking a savvy PR professional for the role of Associate Corporate Communications Manager. This person will lead marquee programs like LinkedIn for Journalists and the LinkedIn Newsroom, as well as support the Executive Communications program and broader horizontal corporate initiatives. The role offers unique executive and international exposure as well as the opportunity to oversee key corporate programs and media opportunities. The ideal candidate is a go-getter with rigorous attention to detail and an affinity for fast-paced environments. Candidate must be a self-starter who works well both independently and as part of a team.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversee our marquee LinkedIn for Journalist program, LinkedIn’s unique Premium program for journalists. Manage journalist training schedule and journalist upgrades.
    • Lead the LinkedIn Newsroom program. Oversee editorial calendar and lead the expansion/evolution of the program for the global communications team.
    • Support development and coordination of our Executive Communications program, which includes proactively identifying strategic media and speaking opportunities for LinkedIn’s CEO and C-suite executives.
    • Support communications for LinkedIn Canada and liaise with cross- functional international team for opportunities. Help with corporate, consumer and enterprise announcements in the region and manage local agency team.
    • Develop proactive/reactive messaging, briefing and FAQ documents for announcements and media tours, and broader cross-functional efforts.
    • Act as a spokesperson with media and train business leaders for external speaking opportunities.
    • Manage and build relationships with journalists in efforts to build story and brand opportunities for LinkedIn.

    BASIC EXPERIENCE

    • BS/BA in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, PR, English or related field
    • 3+ years of related PR or external communications experience

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Solid understanding of business and media environment particularly in consumer technology
    • Well-developed and well-maintained media relationships
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Fantastic organizational skills and an innate ability to multitask and prioritize
    • Strong understanding of PR planning and implementation process
    • Very strong project management and decision-making skills
    • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and unstructured, deadline-oriented environment
