We’re looking for a User Experience Design Manager to join our team in building Icons & Illustrations that professionals don’t just use, but love. You’ll use your passion for creating world-class design systems to shape the direction of our incredibly fast-growing company. You’ll collaborate with product managers and designers to define a warm & professional illustrative style for LinkedIn’s brand & product offerings. Our User Experience Design team sits in both our San Francisco and Sunnyvale offices. Location is flexible.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Define, direct, and oversee the creative direction of our illustrative style
    • Proactively seek opportunities to improve the expression of our brand in product
    • Effectively communicate ideas, design rationale and specifics of design approach
    • Create holistic design solutions that address business, brand, and user requirements
    • Work with product designers and managers to deliver the final product
    • Document and communicate product illustration principles and use cases

    APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of 3+ years of experience managing and directing creative projects
    • Experience directing and guiding a team through a complete lifecycle of several launched projects

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Solid understanding of design principles as they pertain to icons & illustrations
    • Ability to present cohesive design approaches to a non-design audience (including business, product, and technology teams)
    • Ability to grasp multiple product requirements with careful attention to detail
    • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and work within deadlines with little supervision
