We’re looking for a User Experience Design Manager to oversee our Content Experience teams in New York and San Francisco. You’ll use your passion for creating world-class products to shape the direction of our incredibly fast-growing company. You’ll collaborate with our product, engineering, and editorial news teams to expand LinkedIn’s content offering and enable professionals to build their brand on LinkedIn by exploring and building out new content formats including video, news, documents, and more.

    This role is based in New York City, but you will have opportunity to travel to our headquarters in the Bay Area as you will be collaborating directly with the R&D teams based there. You will also work closely with our User Experience Design team to bridge communication and ensure we continue to create a holistic vision of the LinkedIn product. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Define, direct, and oversee the creative direction of our rich content products
    • Proactively seek opportunities to improve the content product experience for our brand
    • Effectively communicate ideas, design rationale and specifics of design approach
    • Create holistic design solutions that address business, brand, and user requirements
    • Manage, coach, and provide directed feedback to product designers and leads to deliver the final product
    • Communicate regularly with the Bay Area teams to ensure teams continue to stay in sync

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of 3+ years of experience managing and directing creative projects
    • Experience directing and guiding a team through a complete lifecycle of several launched projects

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Solid understanding of design principles with a strong eye for great design
    • Ability to present cohesive design approaches to a non-design audience (including business, product, and technology teams)
    • Ability to grasp multiple product requirements and scope design work accordingly with careful attention to detail
    • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and work within deadlines with little supervision
