We are looking for an Account Executive to join our DC-based LinkedIn
Marketing Solutions team, with a focus on advocacy clients including
industry associations, non-profits, government agencies, campaigns, and
other DC-based marketers. You will be responsible for helping to connect
marketers with our global audience of success-driven professionals. You
will develop unique, custom solutions while collaborating with teammates
across multiple functions and delivering against numbers.
Responsibilities:
- Engage and strategize with key decision makers at current and
potential client companies to demonstrate how LinkedIn can drive
revenue to their business
- Identify and understand trends within client markets and industries
- Develop and execute a sales plan to ensure your quarterly target
achievement
- Take ownership of your portfolio and proactively reach out to
customers and deliver a customized solution
- Set up your accounts, discover various business processes and
understand relevant metrics
- Learn and personalize the LinkedIn sales narrative that you can
tailor for multiple audiences
- Incorporate templates and tools from LinkedIn’s sales resources and
adapt them to fit into your book of business
- Proactively provide client research, insights, and actionable
intelligence
- Attend relevant product trainings and explore our various suite of
products
Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree
- 3+ years of sales experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Sales experience (selling primarily to Non-Profits, Advocacy Groups,
State/Regional Economic Development orgs and Industry Associations)
- 2+ years of experience closing deals
- Proven track record of finding, growing and maintaining a successful
book of business
- Experience in online or traditional media sales at a publisher
platform or social network
- Exposure to legislative and regulatory process and actions
- Knowledge of social media/native advertising ecosystem and the
ability to explain it in ordinary terms
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Possess relationships with leading Washington DC digital, public
affairs, and communications agencies
- Ability to successfully drive revenue through the development of
long-term strategic relationships
- Ability to structure and manage complex negotiations to successful
closure and delivery
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment
