    TITLE: Sr. Portfolio Manager, New Product GTM Innovation

    LOCATION: San Francisco

    Innovation is creativity implemented.  We are looking for a leader that is analytical, strategic and detail-oriented to own the execution process for a portfolio of ~20 high profile product launches each year.  This is one of the most collaborative and high visibility roles in LinkedIn Talent Solutions (LTS), choreographing dozens of launch groups and cross-functional teams. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the edge of innovation in large tech where you will experience the big-picture of what it takes to launch cutting edge tech products, but more importantly the detailed steps needed to make that vision real.  

    You will be the global owner of the ‘Epic Launch Playbook’, LinkedIn’s gold standard new product go-to-market process.  Your program will support dozens of new product teams at different stages of development like an internal “incubator”. As the owner of the portfolio you will conduct analysis to prioritize launches, define and measure impact metrics, and jump in to unblock project slowdowns.  The products and operational issues are all different, so you will need a strong learning acumen to quickly ramp up and consult the launch leaders. The role has high senior executive visibility and works closely with the leaders of ~$3B business to prove strategic reviews. The breadth of the role means the challenges are always fresh and it offers rapid exposure to multiple launches in a short time to build world class launch expertise.  

    The ideal candidate is at the intersection of strong program management and business acumen. They will demonstrate quick learning and an impressive history of personal and professional development.  Most importantly they will deliver through strong relationships and use excellent communication to reach alignment across executive teams, keep projects on track, and have fun.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Plan the 18 month delivery of the LinkedIn Talent Solutions new product innovation portfolio
    • Portfolio level go-to-market planning on how a dozen launches draw against a dozen cross functional teams
    • Co-manage executive steering committee manage execution groups focused on launches
    • Track the health of 20+ launches at different stages of launch including quantitative and qualitative reviews
    • Support launch leaders to establish project milestones, work streams, deliverables, and measures of success
    • Jump into “blocked/red” launches, diagnose, make recommendations and work with launch leaders for turnaround
    • Be a global evangelist for the Epic Launch Playbook.  Capture your process improvements to publish future editions
    • Continuously build new processes (e.g., Product sunset reviews, etc.)
    • Be able and willing to challenge the status quo and question initial plans, to continually improve the way LinkedIn brings products to market
    • Build strong cross-functional relationships

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 7+ years of general business experience
    • BA/BS degree

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Management consulting experience and/or MBA
    • Ability to use management consulting and other analytical frameworks to structure complex problems
    • Strong generalist business acumen to solve problems across multiple functions (sales, marketing, operations, etc.)
    • Delivery of a cross-functional process in a large organization (advanced project management)
    • Experience standing up new products inside larger companies (go to market)
    • Projects confidence / executive presence
    • Highly analytical, experience diagnosing complex operational problems and overseeing execution
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills
    • Strong history of achievement
