About the Role:

Maes Learning Academy in Hopewell, VA is looking for a passionate and nurturing Toddler Teacher to join our growing team! Responsibilities:

Plan and implement age-appropriate, developmentally focused lesson plans for toddlers

Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment

Monitor and support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child

Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child progress and daily activities

Maintain a clean, organized, and child-safe classroom at all times

Follow all licensing regulations, health, and safety guidelines

Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support overall academy goals

Requirements:

Previous experience working with toddlers or young children in a childcare or preschool setting

Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic demeanor

Ability to pass a background check as required by Virginia childcare licensing

High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA or Early Childhood Education degree preferred
