    Job Summary:

    As a Virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO), you will serve as the strategic technology partner for a select portfolio of growth-focused client organizations. This is a high-impact leadership role that blends executive-level consulting with proactive technology strategy execution. Rather than focusing on day-to-day IT management, your core responsibility will be aligning technology initiatives with business goals, architecting transformation roadmaps, and enabling measurable enterprise-level results across multiple industries. You will collaborate deeply with C-level executives and internal teams to lead digital transformation, risk management, and innovation that drives competitive advantage.

    Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at our office in Carmel, IN

    Key Responsibilities:

    Client Relationship Management

    - Serve as the primary strategic advisor for client organizations, building trusted relationships with CEOs, CFOs, and COOs.
    - Conduct monthly and quarterly strategic reviews with executive stakeholders.
    - Advocate for client needs by addressing service delivery escalations and business-impacting issues.
    - Foster long-term partnerships by understanding client goals, market pressures, and competitive positioning.

    **T echnology Success & Strategic Planning **

    - Collaborate with Technology Alignment Managers (TAMs) to assess technical maturity and align standards with business objectives.
    - Analyze client business models and operational workflows to develop 12–24-month technology roadmaps.
    - Present strategic plans and investment recommendations that influence executive decision-making.
    - Design and support cybersecurity, governance, and compliance strategies that enable secure business growth.

    Transformation Leadership & Innovation Enablement

    - Guide clients through digital transformation initiatives such as cloud migration, automation deployment, and data analytics integration.
    - Lead enterprise-level change management processes to ensure successful technology adoption.
    - Identify and implement emerging technologies (AI/ML, IoT, automation, cloud-native platforms) that yield competitive advantage.
    - Drive process improvements that deliver 25-40% efficiency gains and cost savings.

    Project & Vendor Management

    - Identify strategic technology projects from the roadmap and develop detailed implementation proposals.
    - Oversee budgeting and planning for technology investments up to 12 months in advance.
    - Optimize vendor relationships and contracts to reduce spend and improve service outcomes.

    Team Collaboration & Mentorship

    - Partner with engineering, project management, and service teams to execute complex initiatives.
    - Mentor less experienced vCIOs and technical consultants in strategic thinking and relationship management.
    - Contribute to internal technology standards and service delivery frameworks.

    Performance Metrics & Outcomes:

    - Maintain current 12–24-month roadmaps for all clients with clear ROI and outcome targets.
    - Achieve 90%+ on-time, on-budget delivery of strategic initiatives.
    - Improve client technology maturity scores by 1-2 levels annually.
    - Reduce client risk exposure by 80%+ via cybersecurity and governance implementation.
    - Sustain high client satisfaction, retention, and executive engagement.

    Qualifications:

    - Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, or Information Systems required
    - 10+ years of progressive IT leadership with 5+ years in CIO, IT Director, or senior strategic consulting roles.
    - Experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or IT consulting environment.
    - Proven success leading digital transformation and strategic planning initiatives.
    - Deep expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, hybrid cloud, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and networking.
    - Proficiency with ITIL, NIST, CIS, and other enterprise governance frameworks.
    - Strong communication, executive presence, and ability to translate technical strategy into business value.
    - Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, ITIL, or Microsoft Azure are a plus.

    Work Environment: The Virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO) operates in a dynamic environment, combining virtual strategy development with on-site client engagement. You will work collaboratively across departments and directly with executive leaders, requiring both strategic vision and hands-on consulting expertise.
