About the Role:

School of Rock Fleetwood is looking for a passionate and talented Vocal/Keyboard Instructor to inspire the next generation of musicians in Mount Vernon, NY! This is your chance to share your love of music, build meaningful connections with students, and be part of a performance-driven music education experience unlike any other.

Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging one-on-one vocal and keyboard lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels

Develop personalized lesson plans aligned with each student's musical goals and progress

Prepare students for live performances and seasonal showcases

Collaborate with other instructors and staff to support ensemble and band programs

Track and communicate student progress to parents and school leadership

Maintain a positive, encouraging, and structured learning environment

Stay current with music trends and repertoire to keep lessons fresh and relevant

Requirements:

Proficiency in both vocal instruction and keyboard/piano performance

Prior teaching or tutoring experience in music education preferred

Strong knowledge of music theory, technique, and ear training

Ability to teach students across multiple genres including rock, pop, and classical

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students and parents

Reliable, punctual, and passionate about music mentorship

Experience performing live is a plus
