    ABOUT THIS ROLE

    We seek a Senior Marketing Communications Strategist to create and implement marketing programs that will play a fundamental role in bringing to life Vulcan and Paul Allen’s initiatives.

    To succeed, you’ll need a strong understanding of the communications landscape combined with a focus on audience insights, digital platforms and distribution, and a strong track record of developing campaigns that reach their targets effectively and efficiently.

    It will be your role to craft marketing campaigns in concert with your internal stakeholders, and to help determine the best resource mix (internal teams or external vendors) to make them a reality.

    Clear communication skills and familiarity with marketing channels are vital, but you’ll also need to be an advocate for new approaches and breakthrough creative.

    Your deadlines will range from tomorrow to six months, and you will likely have several projects running at once. A commitment to data-driven decision making and metrics is critical.

     

    AS A MEMBER ON OUR TEAM YOU WILL BE

    • Working with internal teams to develop and manage strategic marketing initiatives, from creative brief through analysis of results, in order to have the broadest possible impact on the audiences we care about
    • Working with teams to develop appropriate audience segmentation and develop marketing campaigns addressing those segments
    • Establishing key performance indicators for all campaigns
    • Be an advocate for quality content and new approaches, staying up-to-date on digital marketing trends and potential new channels and strategies
    • Traveling up to 25% of the time

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or MBA) in marketing, journalism, English or communications from accredited institution and at least 6 years relevant marketing and campaign experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
