    We're looking for a MARKETING AND EVENTS SPECIALIST at PAUL G. ALLEN'S FLYING HERITAGE & COMBAT ARMOR MUSEUM (FHCAM) located at Paine Field in Everett, Washington. _WHO YOU ARE _ Are you a high energy, results-oriented Marketing and Events professional with a uniquely diverse mix of skills and passions? Join our team and contribute to brainstorming on creative new marketing initiatives! _NOW A BIT ABOUT US _ FHCAM was started in 1998 when Mr. Allen began acquiring and preserving the iconic armor and warbirds that you see within our hangars, many of which are the last of their kind. In 2008 the collection moved from its home in Arlington, WA to its current location on Paine Field in Everett where it now houses these priceless treasures. 

    The aircraft, vehicles and artifacts at the museum are a testament to the era’s engineering skill and humanity’s spirit during the world conflicts of the 20th century. On rotation in our working hangar are military artifacts from the United States, Britain, Germany, Soviet Union and Japan, acquired and restored with unparalleled authenticity to share with the public.

    AS A MEMBER ON OUR TEAM YOU WILL

    The Marketing and Events Specialist will be responsible for assisting in developing and implementing, timely, high quality and competitive marketing campaigns for FHCAM. This role will also assist in planning and implementing public and private events and educational programs and assist with oversight of the volunteer program. Also on your docket:

    • Collaborate with our Marketing Coordinator to write copy for museum materials including press releases, event collateral, monthly e-blasts, community outreach, grant proposals, etc.
    • Help with executing email and social media campaigns and supporting offsite marketing efforts at various tradeshows and events
    • Assist with database builds- prospect lists including tour companies, media, private event rentals, email subscribers, etc.
    • Use your event planning experience to work with our Events Coordinator in planning, organizing and providing logistical support for museum public and private events and other special projects relating to museum events
    • Work closely with our Education Coordinator in the planning and execution of educational programming
    • Support recruitment and oversight related to volunteer program
    • Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, integrity and fulfillment of commitments

    COMPUTER SKILLS

    REQUIRED: MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) PREFERRED: MS Project;Visio; Publisher; Adobe Illustrated

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Marketing or Business from accredited institution and three years’ relevant experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Valid driver’s license, good driving record and safe operation of vehicles is required

     

    ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT DETAILS ABOUT THIS ROLE

    • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, holidays and weekends (most notably weekends from May to September during our busiest time of the year)
    • Ability to stand on one's feet for long periods of time
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
    • Local travel estimated to be five percent
