    ABOUT THE TEAM

    Our Impact team works to develop new approaches that merge philanthropy and productization across a broad portfolio of issues from coral to elephants to community building and the arts. The Impact team builds partnerships with individuals and organizations across science, conservation and philanthropy.    

    POSITION SUMMARY

    This is a 12-MONTH TEMPORARY position working with the Grants & Contracts Manager and Portfolio Managers to manage the administrative components of the grant making process within Paul G. Allen Philanthropies.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Working with the Grants & Contracts Manager and Portfolio Managers to close out grants in the MicroEdge GIFTS Online database in accordance with specific set of criteria.
    • Provide portfolio management support to small value and transitioning grants. 
    • Add records to the database for newly executed agreements.
    • Add charitable donation receipts to the database.
    • Ensure integrity of data and facilitate accurate reporting.

    REQUIRED

    • High attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Demonstrated high level of confidentiality, independent judgment, tact and diplomacy.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, be a self-starter and work independently.
    • Familiarity working with databases.
    • Data management skills.

    REQUIRED COMPUTER SKILLS

    • Experience working with a grant-making database, high preference for candidates with MicroEdge GIFTS Online software.
    • Microsoft Office preferred

    EDUCATION

    • Bachelors degree preferred
