I. JOB SUMMARY

Responsible to serve as an infrastructure lead across teams and provides substantial input to the direction and support of the cloud based digital architecture. Role provides technical consultation to teams in parallel while also contributing directly to infrastructure architecture efforts. Role is tasked with communicating and operate as a subject matter expert for Cloud infrastructure and DevOps, contributes to various IT initiatives in need of such expertise. Advanced technical competency and effective communication skills are equally important in the execution of this role.

II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Designing and deploying dynamically scalable, available, fault-tolerant, and reliable applications on the Cloud (Preferably AWS)
• Drive discussions with client stakeholders and finalize Physical Architecture, NFRs & deployment topology;
• Selecting appropriate Cloud services to design and deploy an application based on given requirements
• Migrating complex, multi-tier applications on Cloud Platforms
• Designing and deploying enterprise-wide scalable operations on Cloud Platforms
• Rollout quality adherence and control processes using various DevOps tools at disposal
• Guide team towards scalable and robust infrastructure developed as code (IAC)
• Design and implement canary deployments in production
• Automate build and deployment processes for Java and nodejs based applications

III. COMPETENCIES

• Expertise in AWS technologies, preferably with professional certification
• Expertise in one of configuration management and orchestrator automation tools like Ansible, Chef or Puppet
• Expertise in Jenkins 2.x with pipeline as code or any other continuous integration and automation tools
• Implementation knowledge of containerization technology like Docker and orchestration like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm
• Experience in Terraform to manage large infrastructures that span multiple cloud providers or equivalent Infrastructure provisioners
• Gradle or Maven based build and deployment
• Experience in Administrative knowledge & deployment of CMS platform (Preferably AEM through Cloud manager)
• Experience in web hosting cores like Apache or Nginx
• Administrative knowledge of GIT (stash or gitlab)
• Experience in Packer to develop and maintain identical machine images
• Working knowledge on networking, security groups, subnets, VPC
• Administrative knowledge of Infrastructure and application monitoring tools like App dynamics Dynatrace or any
• Experience in Monitoring Set Up for the applications (Alerting & Dashboarding)
• Experience in Jira, confluence and Atlassian tools and their integration with each other
• Design and implement automation for continuous integration and delivery
• Align standards, frameworks and security with overall business and technology strategy
• Develop automated mechanisms to report on Cloud Service Provider status for items of concern such as vulnerability status, incident response interactions, forensic activities, integration of security logs into the Agency toolsets, etc
• Working knowledge in NoSQL database systems like DynamoDB as well as relational databases like MySQL.

IV. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, related subject or equivalent experience.
2. Eight (8) years’ experience within IT infrastructure, Cloud Services and Dev Ops area.
