  • Responsibilities

    The TEMPORARY Accounts Receivable Specialist will work with the Director of Revenue in managing the monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes as well as overall maintenance of general ledger and monthly preparation of balance sheet reconciliations. The Accounts Receivable Specialist is accountable for ensuring proper execution of policies and procedures to provide reasonable assurance that the company assets are protected. This is a TEMPORARY role. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Post daily cash receipts to customer accounts
    • Process incoming mail concerning billing and invoicing
    • Engage management over any AR problems you encounter
    • Record ancillary revenues as required
    • Initiate collections on past-due accounts
    • Issue invoices monthly, quarterly and ad hoc invoices as required
    • Maintain accounting ledgers as required and reconcile to general ledger
    • Create and update a log sheet for quality control
    • Audit ledgers to ensure they contain correct information, such as billing addresses and invoice numbers

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Accounts Receivable Specialist qualifications and skills
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
    • 2+ years’ experience in AR can substitute for educational requirement
    • Advanced mathematical and logical deduction skills
    • Experience with customer service and client communication
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
    • Intermediate to advanced 10-key skills
    • Ability to create and edit Excel spreadsheets
    • Familiarity with Wide Orbit and Microsoft Dynamics a plus
