DESCRIPTION:

The Windows System Administrator is charged with installing and maintaining Microsoft Windows operating systems.  Duties such as upgrades, installing applications, implementing Windows security policies, solving technical issues and defining and implementing network, storage and disaster recovery strategies.  Candidate must have experience managing physical (bare metal) and virtual environments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

·     2 to 3 years' experience perform system administration functions, such as installation, configuration, administration, analysis and maintenance using Windows Server 2016 and later in a large scale enterprise environment or large datacenter environment. 

·        Must excel at troubleshooting and solving difficult problems; must have system administration skills with methodical debugging techniques and the ability to troubleshoot issues with good engineering rigor.  

·        Position requires the ability to be flexible, and operate in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

·        Ability to interface well with network administrators and developers.

·        Experience with Microsoft Active Directory.

·        Installation and support of server hardware.

·        Documentation development and maintenance for software installation, migration and operations.

·        Ability to run PowerShell scripts for automation of repetitive tasks.

·        Must have general understanding of network concepts including, vlans, ports, protocols, security contexts, etc.
