    • Prosecuting misdemeanor cases in the trial division involving various classifications of crimes and managing a continuing caseload. • Staffing calendar and arraignment parts, including conferencing and negotiating cases with defense attorneys to reach plea offers, as well as appearing on the record. • Drafting cases in the complaint room and deciding whether to decline or go forward with prosecution. • Interviewing civilian witnesses and police officers, listening to and transcribing 911 and Rikers Island calls, performing redactions of confidential information and organizing other discovery to achieve statutory compliance. • Conducting research on complex issues within criminal law to determine viability of cases.
