    overview
    • Reduced vehicle emissions from 90+ waste haulers by 50% and improved the transportation of 3 million tons of waste through an $8 million Commercial Waste Zone contract from the Department of Sanitation NYC (DSNY). • Predicted competition among 90+ private waste haulers in the new CWZ system for DSNY by developing a model based on operational and financial data from haulers. • Designed a tool for DSNY to compare service rates from 90+ waste haulers, servicing 100,000 businesses. • Reduced the cost of transitioning into the CWZ system by identifying 20 potential risks and developing 20 corresponding risk management strategies. • Prepared NYC for up to 2.5-ft sea level rise and 15% precipitation increase by 2050 through a NYC-DEP Green Infrastructure contract to improve stormwater drainage at 6 city bioswales. • Measured the water drainage rates of two pores stone columns through field experiments. • Analyzed drainage data to recommend a stone column design to the client. • Performed maintenance checks and repairs on storm drainage loggers in city bioswales.
Fun Fact

Two friends and I started a peer-to-peer rental marketplace called Hubbub in January 2020. We launched to Columbia students and have seen some success! We hope to full-launch again at Columbia in September 2020. See our website here: https://www.hubbub.shop

Passion

I am motivated by applying technology to redesign how people live and work in cities.
