- Total Synthesis of Hawaiinolide A: Oversaw the total synthesis of Hawaiinolide A from initially choosing the molecule to making the initial strategic disconnections toward the retrosynthetic strategy and synthesizing simpler derivatives for SAR studies. Learned various techniques including but not limited to 1D NMR, 2D NMR, IR, Mass Spectrometry, running reactions under inert atmosphere and other laboratory conditions. (05/19 - Current - Biology - Julian Borejdo, Ph.D - UNT Health Science Center - Elucidated the differences in muscle cell contraction rates between the left and right ventricles of the heart under vitro setting. Utilized PCR and DNA gel electrophoresis.
