Assists command in maintaining accurate classified, network based, databases to track submissions, finalized approvals, resultant indoctrinations and transfer need-to-know, debrief status. Provides security indoctrinations and debriefs. Processes derogatory information and exception packages for submittal to the DoD Central Adjudicating facility - Ensures the command facilities have and utilize the required forms and that storage container user logs are properly completed, and visitor logs are in place and utilized. Assists the command in conducting recurring inventories of classified material and equipment and is responsible for the proper destruction of classified material. Operates daily functions through DISS and JWICS/M3 for processing visit request - Supports the command on visitor control. Prepares visit requests for the command personnel, cross checks incoming visit requests against clearance databases and specific visit requirements. Prepares, tracks, and issues security badges for appropriately cleared personnel. Receives telephone calls and visitors. Ascertains purpose of calls or visits, refers to appropriate security official as required, and responds to general inquiries pertaining to security - Assists the command in performing specialized, internal physical security functions for classified facilities as assigned. Performs limited aspects of physical security work such as reviewing specific factual items or conditions on a physical security survey. Assists with ensuring intrusion detection systems are tested and results documented - Has a comprehensive knowledge of basic security procedures and practices relating to information, personnel, and physical security, performs limited technical work involving recurring type of questions, explanations of existing security policies and development of facts - Supervises completed work for conformance with policy and requirements. The - Works in strict adherence to security guides. Any deviations from these guidelines are referred to the supervisor. Judgment is used in determining the appropriateness of applicability of guides to specific situations considering the degree and extent of subject matter similarities and differences. Work involved is not particularly complex, however, it must be accurate as National security concerns are involved. Incumbent uses established methodology and accepted practices to perform the various tasks. Incumbent is responsible for prioritizing and executing a variety of personnel, information and physical security duties - The primary purpose of the work is to assist the specialists by relieving them of detailed procedural and technical work. The work involves execution of personnel, information, physical security rules, regulations, or procedures, and recurring limited services and practices. The directions and actions of the incumbent are extremely critical to the fulfillment of NAWDCs
