- Provides free legal services to patients in hospitals located throughout southwest VA and TN - Responsibilities - Assist with creation of program infrastructure and baseline documents needed to start a legal aid - Create schedules for junior interns - Create baseline checklists and info sheets for numerous legal issues - Assist with creation of internal policies and ensured junior intern compliance with protocols - Work with attorneys certified in Virginia and Tennessee to assist low-income patient populations in local - Manage junior interns and provide the program directors with weekly reports - Conduct initial client interviews & coordinate legal intake with attorneys - Represent clients throughout resolution of legal matter under supervision of managing attorney - Drafting documents and researching the applicable Virginia or Tennessee law - Athletics - Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University - Varsity Swim Team - As a lifelong competitive swimmer, I have competed at a national level including USA Swimming - Senior National Championships.
